NEW ROBYN VIDEO: INDESTRUCTIBLE

Here is the superb video for Robyn's new single Indestructible, the first release from Body Talk Pt. 3 (which is now simply being called Body Talk) coming Nov. 22nd. Like Hang With Me from Body Talk Pt. 2, Indestrucible is a remix version from Pt. 2 that will appear on the final installment which contains five songs from Pt. 1, five songs from Pt. 2 and five new songs. Is that confusing enough? Good.

ENOUGH ABOUT THE ROCKY HORROR GLEE SHOW

Why oh why are people so up-in-arms about Glee's Rocky Horror episode? You'd think they took a shit on Tim Curry's face or something? Enough already. If you didn't like it, you didn't like it. I hate to be the one to break the news to you, but when the Rocky Horror Picture Show was first released it got SCATHING reviews from critics too. Now, I love RHPS. I've seen it many, many times. It's irreverent and hilarious and moving and allows people to let themselves go for a while. What Glee did was not the Rocky Horror Show. They are doing a weekly television show that pays homage to all sorts of things in pop culture. Was it their best episode? No. Not by a long shot. Was it the worst? No. Not by a long shot. Look, no high school would ever be allowed to do Rocky Horror as their fall musical. If you think they would, you are either kidding yourself or not a lot of dumbass high schools. It's not really appropriate for a high school. Not because of how gay it is, but because of how sexual it is. (And by the way, I don't know if many of the critics who lambasted Lea Michele for wearing her panties in a magazine are actually WATCHING this show, but it is not as "Disney" as they seem to think it is. Brittany and Santana discussed "scissoring" last week for gay's sake.) Yes, Glee missed the point of the RHPS in a lot of ways, but so do a lot of people. The fact of the matter is, it also got a lot of people to discover or REdiscover the original. As of today the soundtrack to the Rocky Horror Picture show was #6 on iTunes. The Rocky Horror Glee Show was #2. They changed some words. DUH! It's a television show. It didn't really bother me that they said sensational instead of transsexual. Frank'n'Furter was being played by a girl. So what? People know that the network also has a say in the final product that goes on the air, right? People know Ryan Murphy and the writers don't have carte blanche to do and say whatever they want, right? Reasonable people know the rules of network television, RIGHT? Guess not. And for the record, no, Finn did NOT look that great with his shirt off. There, I said it. Then again, he's 28, so he shouldn't have the body fat of a 16 year old. Once again, IT'S A TELEVISION SHOW. What Glee did in this episode is what they do a lot: took something from pop culture and designed an episode around it. It doesn't always make sense when you develop a show that way. Maybe it's just time for them to start getting backlash. I don't know. I just enjoy the show. Some episodes are moving and great and magical; some are fun and silly and stupid; some are unbelievable and pandering, but I always ALWAYS have fun watching it. If all the people having myocardial infarctions over the episode actually watched it, at least we know that Glee's ratings aren't slipping. Having said all this, if you haven't seen Rocky Horror Picture Show, do it sooner than later. It's a blast!!! Now, in case you missed the Rocky Horror GLEE Show, you can watch it below. Enjoy and have a good day, sir.

JUST BECAUSE: JOANNA NEWSOM

Joanna Newsom is truly a one-of-a-kind artist. She plays the harp and the piano and has the most unusual voice you may have heard in a while. She is lovely, beautiful even and her boyfriend in Saturday Night Live's Andy Samberg. Oh, and she models. What? Yes, all of this is true of Joanna Newsom. Anyway, I fell in love with her 2004 album Milk Eyed Mender and have been hooked ever since. I reviewed her latest album, Have One On Me, a while back and listen to it when I'm feeling mellow. I'll start you off with arguably her most well-known song, The Sprout and the Bean. GREAT video. She is a rare and wonderful talent. Check out these clips of Joanna. Maybe you'll like her too!

OBAMA FINALLY MAKES AN "IT GETS BETTER" VIDEO

Considering everyone else on earth and the moon have already made one, I would say he is a little late on the uptake, but at least he did it. Now, how about this though: the LGBT community still cannot marry or join the military openly, so, Mr. President, what is it you are telling these kids by your actions? It gets better, but it doesn't get equal? How about all those words of hope and promises that you made my community that worked so hard to get your ass elected? Actions speak louder than words and we won't wait forever, Mr. President. Check out his video below.

LEA MICHELE GETS STEAMY IN GQ. WOW!!

Damn, girl!!!! Lea Michele kicks it up a notch in GQ this month. In a steamy photospread (HERE) Lea and Cory Monteith and Dianna Agron get steamy as all get out. I HAD to post these pics though because...well....look at it!! Looks like Lea is branching out from the whole Barbra Streisand thing. I don't remember Babs posing quite like this (nor would I want to). The photos are taken by Terry Richards for GQ. Next week is the Rocky Horror episode of Glee and you can get the soundtrack now iTunes.

IT'S HERE! LISTEN TO THE NEW KE$HA - WE R WHO WE R

I said it was out today, and now here it is....

KE$HA RELEASES NEW ALBUM WITH SONG AGAINST BULLYING!

Ke$ha's debut album, Animal, came out only 10 months ago, but she is on a roll with 4 consecutive top 10 hits from that album (Tik Tok, Blah Blah Blah, You Love Is My Drug and Take It Off) and two more as a featured artist (Right Round with Flo Rida and My First Kiss with 3OH!3), so she is ready to unleash her Cannibal on the world. The album, consisting of eight new songs and a remix of the song Animal, will be sold on it's own or you can buy it in deluxe form with Animal. The first single will be We R Who We R and Ke$ha wrote it in response to all the bullying going on in schools against gay kids. “I wanted to inspire people,” she says, “to be themselves. It’s a celebration of any sort of quirks or eccentricities.” Good for her! She says the album will be "fun as shit", so get ready to party. I love her album and can't wait for new music. Here are some Ke$ha videos for you to enjoy. We R Who We R hits radio today.

A SONG FOR GAY YOUTH: DON'T GIVE UP

This song was pointed out as inspiration for our kids who are going through a hard time growing up gay. It is actually an old song from the 80s by Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush, but the lyrics and tone are amazingly suited to the terrible situation that has come to light recently. Scroll down below lyrics to listen and watch the video. It gets better, so don't give up.

Don't Give Up
In this proud land we grew up strong
We were wanted all along
I was taught to fight, taught to win
I never thought I could fail

No fight left or so it seems
I am a man whose dreams have all deserted
I've changed my face, I've changed my name
But no one wants you when you lose

Don't give up
'cos you have friends
Don't give up
You're not beaten yet
Don't give up
I know you can make it good

Though I saw it all around
Never thought I could be affected
Thought that we'd be the last to go
It is so strange the way things turn

Drove the night toward my home
The place that I was born, on the lakeside
As daylight broke, I saw the earth
The trees had burned down to the ground

Don't give up
You still have us
Don't give up
We don't need much of anything
Don't give up
'cause somewhere there's a place
Where we belong

Rest your head
You worry too much
It's going to be alright
When times get rough
You can fall back on us
Don't give up
Please don't give up

'got to walk out of here
I can't take anymore
Going to stand on that bridge
Keep my eyes down below
Whatever may come
And whatever may go
That river's flowing
That river's flowing

Moved on to another town
Tried hard to settle down
For every job, so many men
So many men no-one needs

Don't give up
'cause you have friends
Don't give up
You're not the only one
Don't give up
No reason to be ashamed
Don't give up
You still have us
Don't give up now
We're proud of who you are
Don't give up
You know it's never been easy
Don't give up
'cause I believe there's the a place
There's a place where we belong

NEW GOLDFRAPP: WE RADIATE

It's no secret that I'm obsessed with Goldfrapp. Everything they do is brills, and IMHO, this song is no exception. We Radiate is a track from the upcoming Vampire Diaries soundtrack. Much like the show it is fun, sexy and spot-on. Check out the synthy groove of We Radiate.

MAYOR MICHAEL BLOOMBERG'S AD IN SUPPORT OF NEW YORKERS FOR MARRIAGE EQUALITY

It's nice to know New Yorkers have a mayor that stands for equality. Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who always marches with us during Gay Pride, has once again decided to speak out on the importance of marriage equality in New York making the video (below) in support of New Yorkers for Marriage Equality.
Bloomberg states in part, "I'm Mayor Mike Bloomberg. I'm a New Yorker, and I support marriage equality, because government shouldn't tell you who to love or who to marry."

FLASHBACK: ANGGUN - SNOW ON THE SAHARA

One of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard in my entire life, I first discovered Anggun's enchanting song Snow on the Sahara when my best friend Christine gave it to me on a mix when we were parting ways in Japan. I have been obsessed with it ever since. Anggun is an international pop star from Indonesia with a beautiful voice and face. The song was a minor hit here in the US in 1998, but I play it ALL THE FREAKIN' TIME cuz it's gorgeous. Listen to this and if you don't think it's wonderful, you are a full-on dildo. Enjoy!

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM ELLEN ON TEEN GAY SUICIDES

The recent events involving several gay teen committing suicide in the news is not only heartbreaking, but a reminder that our society still has a long way to go when it comes to homophobia. Ellen Degeneres has put out a statement about the matter that is spot on. Listen to these words and spread acceptance. We cannot lose another child to ignorance.
